Coloured Angoras
Slaty Creek Angoras are currently involved in a long term plan developing naturally coloured Angora goats.
Our goal is to produce stud stock which consistently produces colored offspring meeting the breed descriptors as set down by Australian angora breed assosciations (Well all except for the colored bit 
)
Too often goats described as “colored angoras” have been overly kempy and/or have a cashmere/mohair based, shedding fleece which could more acurately be describes as ”Cashgora bred”.
While the Cashgora goat is not in itself a bad fleece producer and does have many craftworkers as fans of it’s fleece SCA wish to set a higher and more consistent standard and breed a definitive Colored angora.
