Miniature Goats
As far as we’re concerned miniature goats are “the new dog” in the pet world !
They are small, affectionate, trainable (although playing “fetch” might be a stretch!), help keep the weeds and grass down and as far as care goes require no more time and effort than a well cared for dog (and much less pricey pet food). Their antics are hysterical at times and many hours can be inadvertantly “wasted” just watching and playing with them.
A days or weeks worth of tension can be disolved in a few short moments of interacting with your mini goat, they are a great stress releiver.
At Slaty Creek Angoras we primarily breed Sheltie Miniature goats, being a longer fleeced goat of small but balanced stature with great temperament and character. We feel this breed compliments our core practice of breeding quality fleece bearing goats and our mini’s vary between self shedding (read no shearing!) cashgora style goats to genuine Sheltie bred miniature goats.
